Provider Policy

The standards every professional on TaskHub AI agrees to keep.

1. Independent contractor status

Providers operate their own businesses. Nothing on the platform creates an employment, agency, partnership or joint-venture relationship with TaskHub AI. Providers decide which requests to accept, set their own prices, choose their own hours and use their own tools, vehicles and materials.

2. Licences, permits and insurance

  • Providers must hold every licence, permit, registration and certification required by the State of Missouri, Buchanan County and the City of St. Joseph for the work they offer. This is especially relevant for electrical, plumbing, gas and HVAC work.
  • Providers must maintain general liability insurance appropriate to their trade, and workers’ compensation coverage where required for their employees.
  • Providers must maintain valid vehicle registration and insurance if driving is part of the service.
  • Documents must be current, in the provider’s legal or business name, and provided to TaskHub AI on request. Working with an expired or missing licence is grounds for immediate suspension.

3. Responsibility for the work

Providers are solely responsible for the services they perform, including their quality, safety, legality, timeliness and compliance with applicable building and safety codes, and for any damage, injury or loss caused by them, their employees or their subcontractors. Providers must not subcontract a booking to an unverified third party without telling the customer.

4. Verification

Before the verified badge is granted we review the identity of the account owner, the business name, the licence and insurance information declared, and the service catalogue. Verification is a reasonable commercial check, not a guarantee of quality or an endorsement. The badge can be revoked at any time.

5. Taxes and bookkeeping

Providers report and pay their own federal, state and local taxes, including income tax, self-employment tax and any applicable sales tax. TaskHub AI does not withhold taxes. Earnings, commissions and payouts are available in the provider dashboard for bookkeeping, and we will issue the information returns required by US law.

6. Service standards

  • Respond to booking requests within 24 hours.
  • Arrive within the agreed window, and message the customer immediately if you will be late.
  • Keep listed prices, service descriptions and availability accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate only through the platform chat so there is a record.
  • Treat customers, their homes, their property and their pets with respect.
  • Mark a booking as completed only when the agreed work is actually finished.
  • Never request payment, tips or additional charges outside the platform.

7. Suspension and removal

A provider account can be suspended with a stated reason for: working without a required licence or insurance, repeated no-shows or cancellations, unsafe or illegal work, soliciting off-platform payment, fraudulent listings or reviews, harassment or discrimination, or an unresolved pattern of disputes.

A suspended provider is hidden from search results, cannot accept new bookings, and keeps access to their account so they can finish open jobs, respond to disputes and see their payout history. Payouts for services already completed and undisputed are still released. A provider may appeal a suspension through the Contact page. Accounts with transaction history are suspended rather than deleted, so payment and dispute records remain intact.

Template for review, not legal advice

This document was prepared as a working template for a US marketplace with intermediated payments. The percentages, time windows and tax statements are configurable defaults and must be reviewed by a licensed attorney in your state before the platform processes real payments.
