The rate applied to a booking is the rate in effect on the day the provider accepted it.

1. Payments are intermediated

All payments run through TaskHub AI. The customer never pays the provider directly. We collect the booking total, hold it while the job is carried out, deduct our commission, and release the remainder to the provider. This is what allows us to offer refunds and mediate disputes.

Paying or accepting payment outside the platform ("off-platform payment") violates our Terms. It removes every protection: no refund, no dispute mediation, no payment record. Repeated off-platform solicitation results in suspension.

2. How the commission is calculated

The commission is a percentage of the booking total, set per service category. It is deducted from the amount the customer pays. There is no separate charge added on top of the price the customer sees, and there is no monthly fee for providers.

Worked example with a 15% commission:

The customer is charged $100.00.

TaskHub AI retains $15.00 as the platform commission.

The provider receives $85.00.

The rates currently in effect for each category are shown in the table above. Rates may be changed for future bookings with at least 30 days’ notice to providers; the rate that applies to a booking is the rate in effect on the day the booking was accepted.

3. When the customer is charged

The payment method is charged once the provider accepts the booking, before the service is performed. If the provider declines or does not respond, no charge is completed. The amount charged is the total shown at checkout, including the service price and any taxes or fees itemized there.

If additional work is agreed during the job, it must be added through the platform as a separate charge or a new booking. Cash top-ups are not permitted.

4. When the provider gets paid

  • The funds are held by TaskHub AI from the moment of the charge.
  • The provider marks the booking as completed, and the customer has 24 hours to raise an issue.
  • If no dispute is opened, the payout is released 24 hours after completion, minus the commission.
  • The money typically reaches the provider’s bank account within 2–5 business days after release, depending on their bank.
  • If a dispute is opened, the funds stay held until the dispute is resolved.

5. Cancellations and refunds

  • Customer cancels more than 24 hours before the scheduled start: full refund, and no commission is retained.
  • Customer cancels within 24 hours: a late-cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booking total may be retained and paid to the provider for the reserved time; the rest is refunded.
  • Provider cancels or does not show up: the customer receives a 100% refund and TaskHub AI retains nothing.
  • Service delivered partially: the refund is proportional to what was not delivered, and the commission is recalculated on the amount the provider keeps.
  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

6. Chargebacks

If a customer disputes a charge with their bank instead of using the Dispute Center, the associated payout is frozen while the bank investigates. We will provide the booking record, messages and completion evidence to the bank. Abusive chargebacks may result in account termination.

7. Taxes

Providers are independent contractors and are solely responsible for their own income, self-employment and sales taxes. TaskHub AI does not withhold taxes from payouts. Where required by US law, we will report provider earnings to the IRS and issue the corresponding information return. Providers must keep their legal name, address and taxpayer identification information up to date.

8. Payment security

Card data is handled by a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. TaskHub AI never stores full card numbers or bank credentials on its own servers. Payout details are only visible to the provider who owns them and to authorized administrators.

Template for review, not legal advice

This document was prepared as a working template for a US marketplace with intermediated payments. The percentages, time windows and tax statements are configurable defaults and must be reviewed by a licensed attorney in your state before the platform processes real payments.
