Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.

1. Information we collect

  • Identity and contact data: full name, email address and phone number.
  • Location data: the service address, city, state and ZIP code you provide for a booking, plus your approximate area so we can show nearby providers.
  • Payment data: the billing details needed to charge a booking, processed by our payment processor. TaskHub AI does not store full card numbers or bank credentials on its own servers.
  • Provider data: business name, description, service catalogue, prices, availability, years of experience, licence and insurance information, and the payout details required to send earnings.
  • Booking history: the services you requested or performed, dates, addresses, amounts, statuses, cancellations and disputes.
  • Communications: messages, photos and attachments you exchange in the in-app chat, and your correspondence with support.
  • Reviews and ratings you write or receive.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, language preference, pages visited, actions taken and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.

If you use the camera or photo features in the chat, the photo you take or select is uploaded so the other party to that booking can see it. We do not access your camera in the background and we do not scan your photo library.

2. Why we use your information

  • To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
  • To match your request with suitable providers, including using AI to interpret what you asked for in plain language.
  • To process bookings, collect payments, calculate commission and pay providers.
  • To enable messaging between a customer and the provider of that booking.
  • To send transactional emails: booking confirmations, new requests, status changes and dispute updates.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and payments made outside the platform.
  • To resolve disputes and to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To measure and improve the product in aggregate.

3. Who can see your information

  • The other party to a booking. When you book, the provider receives your name, phone number, service address and the notes you wrote. When a provider accepts, you receive their business name and contact details.
  • Our service providers, strictly to run the platform: hosting and database infrastructure, file storage for chat attachments, the payment processor, and the transactional email service.
  • Our administrators, who can access booking, provider and dispute records to operate the marketplace and mediate disputes.
  • Authorities, when we are legally required to disclose information or need to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Chat attachments and photos

Files you send in the chat are stored in private cloud storage under a folder specific to your account. They are served through short-lived, signed links and are only accessible to the participants of that conversation and to our administrators. Never send government identification numbers, full card numbers or passwords through the chat.

5. How long we keep it

Account and profile data is kept while your account is active. Booking, payment and commission records are kept for at least seven years to satisfy tax and accounting obligations, even after an account is closed. Chat messages and attachments tied to a booking are kept while the booking or any related dispute remains open, and for two years afterward. Technical logs are kept for a shorter period.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Access and correct: you can view and edit your profile data from your dashboard at any time.
  • Delete: you can request deletion of your account. We will delete or anonymize what we are not legally required to retain.
  • Communications: transactional emails about your bookings and disputes are part of the service and cannot be switched off while you have active bookings.
  • Cookies: you can change your preferences at any time from the Cookie Policy page.
  • Location and camera: browser permissions can be revoked at any time in your browser or device settings. Some features stop working without them.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, including the right to know what we collect and to request its deletion. Send requests through the Contact page and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.

7. Children

The platform is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Security and changes

We protect your information with the measures described in our Security Policy, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and role-based access controls. If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top and announce material changes in the app.

Template for review, not legal advice

This document was prepared as a working template for a US marketplace with intermediated payments. The percentages, time windows and tax statements are configurable defaults and must be reviewed by a licensed attorney in your state before the platform processes real payments.
